LEE MEI HUI

Mei Hui has been in the helping profession since 2011. She started her career as a counsellor in a community psychiatric rehabilitation facility, working with adolescents and adults with various psychological difficulties (e.g. Anxiety, Depression, Interpersonal Trauma, etc.). Seeing her clients’ progress fueled her desire to continue working in this field, and motivated her to pursue her Master’s degree.

 

During part of her Master’s practicum placement, Mei Hui had some opportunity to work with children with varied learning and emotional needs. This reignited her interest to work with children, which led to her next role as a Therapist in a Special Education school post-graduation. Some of her roles included conducting psycho-educational assessments for access arrangement purposes, working with teachers and caregivers to develop individualized behaviour plan for students with varied needs, and planning and conducting individualizedsessions with students to support their social, emotional, and learning needs. 

 

Mei Hui left in 2023 and has been working in the private practice since. Recognizing that there’s always more to learn and grow in this field, she has been spending the past 1.5 years learning new modalities in hope to better support her clients.
